Tongwei Showcases TNC 2.0 Series Modules at Solar Solutions Amsterdam 2025

From March 11 to March 13, the Solar Solutions Amsterdam exhibition was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Tongwei made a striking appearance with its new TNC 2.0 series modules, highlighting the dual value proposition of “High Efficiency + High Returns.” This debut showcased Tongwei’s deep alignment with technological advancements and market trends in the evolving solar industry.

Efficiency Evolution: Driving Innovation in the Dutch PV Market

The European PV market is shifting from a subsidy-driven model to a competitive market-oriented landscape. In the Netherlands, the gradual phase-out of the net metering policy marks a significant transition from policy-driven incentives to technology-driven market growth. This shift urges companies to continuously innovate and enhance user value to maintain their competitive edge.

Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 series is designed to meet European customers’ growing focus on long-term investment returns, perfectly aligning technological innovation with market demand. At this exhibition, Tongwei introduced four key TNC 2.0 modules:

TNC-G12R 48HD/54HD/66HD

TNC-G12 66HD

By integrating four core technological advancements—908 technology (Tongwei’s proprietary 0BB technology), EPT passivation, screen printing, and Poly Tech—TNC 2.0 achieves breakthrough performance gains, significantly enhancing module power output and conversion efficiency.

Compared to traditional soldering methods, 908 technology employs low-temperature welding, reducing the risk of cell microcracks. It also features precision grid line printing, optimizing current pathways for higher efficiency. The screen printing process, using an open-aperture design, allows for smoother slurry flow and finer grid lines, further improving electrical performance. Additionally, passivation materials are applied to laser-cut cell edges to repair damaged passivation layers and lattice defects, minimizing recombination losses and enhancing cell performance. Selective treatment of Poly layers on the rear side also improves short-circuit current, leading to higher overall cell efficiency.

Exhibition Highlights: Technology Empowerment and Strategic Collaboration

During the “TNC 2.0 Empowering the Netherlands” keynote session, Tian Ransheng, Overseas Technical Support Engineer from Tongwei’s PV Business Division, delivered an in-depth analysis of the market potential of TNC 2.0 modules in the Netherlands. Combining technical expertise with market foresight, he demonstrated Tongwei’s competitive edge in the European market with detailed performance data.

During the event, Tongwei and Generation Green signed a strategic partnership agreement. This collaboration will leverage high-efficiency module supply as a foundation, enabling market channel sharing and joint project development, fostering deep mutual benefits between both companies.

Sustainability in Action: Tongwei’s Commitment to a Greener Netherlands

Tongwei’s presence in the Netherlands extends beyond business—it represents a shared vision for sustainable development with the local community. A key milestone in this strategy is the 46MW Almelo ground-mounted solar farm, developed in partnership with PROFINRG B.V. As Tongwei’s first large-scale ground-mounted PV project in the Netherlands, this facility is fully powered by Tongwei’s high-efficiency modules, generating approximately 63.8 million kWh of clean electricity annually and reducing CO₂ emissions by 60,000 tons. From planning to completion, Tongwei’s efficient execution has played a pivotal role in accelerating the Netherlands’ clean energy transition.

Another landmark project, the Dost ground-mounted solar farm, was successfully connected to the grid in July 2024. Completed in just four months from module delivery to grid connection, this project exemplifies the renowned “Tongwei Speed.” Equipped with TNC-G12 66 modules, the farm delivers an annual energy output of 11.92 million kWh, supplying stable clean electricity to 7,060 households. As the first project in Europe to successfully deploy N-type 210 large-format modules, the Dost solar farm sets a new benchmark for efficiency and economic feasibility, reaffirming Tongwei’s leadership in rapid response and localized service excellence.
