Tongwei Tops Global Solar Cell Shipment Ranking for the Eighth Consecutive Year
On February 17, PV InfoLink released the 2024 annual solar cell shipment rankings, with Tongwei once again securing the No.1 position worldwide for the eighth consecutive year.
According to PV InfoLink’s research, Tongwei remains firmly at the top among the top five ranked companies. Despite the continued expansion of its module business, Tongwei achieved counter-trend growth in the second half of the year, leveraging its strong domestic and international market channels. While rankings fluctuated in the first half, Tongwei maintained its leading position for the full year, reaffirming its market dominance.
The top five companies on this year’s list collectively shipped 162.8 GW of solar cells in 2024. Among them, PERC cell shipments totaled 53.5 GW, while TOPCon cells surged ahead with 109.3 GW, accounting for 67% of total shipments.
