TNC 2.0: Writing a New Chapter of Reliability and Efficiency in Brazil
From August 26–28, Tongwei Solar presented its TNC 2.0 module series at Intersolar South America, featuring the G12-66 and G12R-66 modules. With outstanding reliability and high power output, these products directly address Brazil’s strong demand for large-size, high-efficiency modules.
Brazil, the land of football and samba, is renowned for its passion, resilience, and teamwork. Just as stability and precision on the pitch determine the outcome of a match, in photovoltaics, reliable and efficient modules are the cornerstone of project value.
Built on Tongwei’s proprietary 908 technology, along with TPE, PolyTech, and advanced Stencil Printing, the TNC 2.0 series achieves higher output and superior conversion efficiency, delivering greater returns for customers.
These innovations extend beyond technical parameters, creating tangible value in real-world applications. For example, at a 100MW project in Rio de Janeiro, the TNC 2.0 G12-66 (750W) module generates an additional 16 million kWh annually compared with conventional products, improves land utilization by 4%, reduces BOS costs by approximately RMB 3.53 million, and lowers the LCOE by 0.24 cents/kWh—significantly enhancing both project profitability and investment returns.
Tongwei also introduced its TNC “Clear Top” anti-dust module, designed with optimized framing to prevent dust accumulation and minimize power loss. Featuring a thin front structure and fully enclosed frame, it offers enhanced durability and weather resistance while delivering a sleek, refined appearance. Combined with Tongwei’s advances in high-efficiency cells and module manufacturing, the Clear Top solution provides Brazilian customers with more stable, long-term energy performance.
With a dual-glass structure (2.0mm heat-strengthened glass on both sides), TNC 2.0 modules significantly improve resistance to moisture penetration and corrosion. They have successfully passed the DH2000 damp-heat test, operating continuously for nearly three months at 85°C and 85% humidity with only ~1% power degradation—proving long-term stability in Brazil’s hot and humid climate.
In regions defined by heat and heavy rainfall, reliability is the foundation, and stable, efficient power generation is the ultimate value. With proven durability and strong performance, Tongwei’s TNC 2.0 stands as a lasting commitment to Brazil’s solar future.
